He spent last night teaching his siblings to play Risk. He requested Axis & Allies, Risk, and army soldiers. We took him to a Neapolitan restaurant where he said he’s losing his proclivity to Kraft max n cheese. He gets compliments from adults all the time. Last weekend, two of my friends told me that he’s an “old soul,” “so good with his younger brother, specifically at camp,” and “polite and mature.” I shared that with him and he responded that he tries to have excellent behavior in public. He loves his people, has strong empathy, and is academically above-average. He is very careful not to hurt people’s feelings but also strongly committed to what he believes. We love the man he’s becoming!
He still wants to be a priest and a fighter pilot. When I reference him getting married in the future, he tells me he wants to be a priest.
