The only four-legged animal we see with any frequency (besides stray cats) are possums. They love the vines in our back yard. Lately, a baby has been waltzing through. I tried to capture it on camera, which made Mr. Serious obsessed with befriending it.
"Hey, can you come talk to me?"
He can't understand why the little thing doesn't want to chat:
For all my effort to capture it on my good camera, DH snapped this from his office while I was getting my 2nd covid shot. We had them release it promptly, but it turns out they are very unlikely to bite or carry rabies -- like safer than domestic dogs and cats.
