The Hubs and BIL took a trip to FedEx Field last week, thanks to some excellent seats Hubs received from someone who wasn't going to be able to make the game and couldn't sell his very nice seats' tickets. So, they watched the painful 45-14 game against the Giants. But they had the NFL experience, including the energy of 79,000 people signing the Redskins Fight Song.
Fall Sniffles, Local Apples, & Teething
Tuesday, September 16, 2014
This one has needed extra TLC since he began cutting eight (yes, EIGHT!) teeth a month ago. He has two incisors and two molars already and is about to cut the other four. Poor thing! I feel bad about all of the Infant's Tylenol he's received, but some days that is the only thing that helps. Thankfully, he's smart enough to grab an apple when his gums are bothering him too. We love this boy!
Guess Who Is Visiting
Thursday, September 11, 2014
We are having loads and loads of fun over here. Aunt Roxane has heard, "Can you push me on the swing?!" at least fifty times this trip. Andre is eating up all the one-on-one time he is receiving. :)
Three Years of the Eldest
This sweet boy has changed so much in the last three years! He is super high-energy, very verbal, and (somehow?) emotionally intelligent (for a three-year-old). He is constantly surprising me and keeping me on my toes. He really doesn't fit well into a category or personality type. He is many things at the same time: needy and independent, talkative and quiet, silly and serious. I've found myself trying to enjoying the moments with him as they seem to pass so quickly.
He will begin a 90-minute, weekly pre-school program in three weeks if we can ever get him potty trained when he is potty trained. :) He is definitely ready for school. I'm confident he will blossom in many ways through this program.
His current interests are trucks,
trains,
books,
blocks,
the outdoors,
Dad,
giving high-fives,
picking on his brother,
wrestling, climbing,
anything physical,
and anything new.
Here he is trying Thai food for the first time.
He decided that he liked satay chicken more than mac 'n cheese!
He was very excited about his birthday cake this year.
Front Patio Sittin'
Thursday, September 4, 2014
Here are the boys sitting on Grandpa & Grandma A's patio, trying not to hit their younger siblings with sticks, and digging up plants (I just saw that -- sorry!). They had such a lovely time here.
This makes me want to buy some porch furniture.
Warren Birthday Bash
This event was so close to where we stayed that we basically had to attend.
It's been a while since I attended a fair in the evening.
The people-watching was the best.
The boys identified the goats right away.
This guy went cheek-to-cheek with Isaac.
Isaac decided it was funny and tried to feed him popcorn.
We walked the grounds, bought coney dogs, and put the boys to bed. I love these boys!
