Remunerative Work!

After eleven years of staying home with the children, I've taken a full-time job. This is the result of many prayers and much discernment with DH. It isn't for all moms, but it's already dramatically improved my mood and outlook. I think my brain is just wired for getting out of the house, meeting people, and solving adult-level problems. I am a better mom when I have that kind of mental stimulation.
I have a schedule that allows me to take the kids to school every morning and be with them most evenings. All prayers for a successful transition are appreciated.
The Engineer had the most helpful line this week: "Mom, there's no way you'll ever get fired. You are far too nice." The irony is that my new boss is a former prosecutor, who gave me a very tough interview. I'd like to think that I held my own; and now he respects me. My role is managerial (I have to give annual reviews) with a lot of freedom. I'm grateful for the opportunity!
