Like Father, Like Son

In addition to wrestling and waking up at 5am, there's this. He may or may not be wearing an adult-sized baseball cap in that photo:
Kids' Quotes
Monday, January 28, 2019
We had an evening of vomiting, which brought these gems this morning:
Firstborn: I was wondering why no one cared that I wasn't making my bed and getting ready for school this morning. (Upon me reminding him he puked in the night. Kudos for hitting the toilet, Bud!)
Sweet Pea: (with a cheerful bounce in her voice) [The Eldest] was puking too?!?! Did he bite his toenails?
(Someone has a nail-biting habit, which we've tried to quell with threats of it causing stomach bugs.)
After all the stomach drama, this one woke up bright and early (with his dad) at 5am. The Engineer forgot his shoes and realized that 10 seconds before we got to school. When we returned, we realized he was in the wrong uniform. We are running on fumes today, but so grateful for our little people!
Neapolitan Pizza

DH worked diligently for an hour to bring us at-home Neapolitan perfection! It's the best food he's made! Nine ingredients if you include the dough. Fresh, toasty, a piece of Italy!
"Help Me!"
Wednesday, January 23, 2019
This happened a minute after I told him to leave the magazine insert in this place. I said, "Of course I will help you, when I'm done laughing." Also, thanks for the time-out idea, bud. (Kidding!)
The News
Wednesday, January 16, 2019
After two miscarriages over the last 14 months, a herniated disc, and a bunch of other traumas, God gave us a new job AND a new baby! The kids (and DH) are almost more excited than I am. Sweet Pea continues to assume it's her sister. We saw a robust heart-rate of 174 yesterday. The fluid around baby is good; and her size is perfect. She switched positions during the sonogram. Any prayers you can pray for a healthy pregnancy will be appreciated. There is one possible complication, which should resolve by 20 weeks. Thank you! <3
Sunday Snow Day!
Sunday, January 13, 2019
DH walked the early-risers to Mass. The Firstborn whispered into my ear that there were only thirty-six people at the second Mass. And school is canceled for tomorrow already.
DH shoveled and did a bunch of laundry so I could work on photography. I can't believe him sometimes.
We've enjoyed all the light we've had this week -- first with the sun, then with the snow. :)
U.S. Capitol Adventures
Saturday, January 12, 2019
This is the time to visit! We walked in and hopped on a tour that was starting five minutes later. Early January is slow season. [Also, I'm glad they weren't furloughed.]
