All I have to say about this trip is: notice how the girls are nicely watching, picking berries, or neatly eating them? By the time we left the boys were in their diapers only, two pairs of shoes were ruined, and we had an entire load of laundry to do. And half of our strawberries were thrown onto the ground and stomped on like those fun fungi puffballs. I expect nothing less from these two!
A Sweet Kid
Thursday, May 29, 2014
Andre has been using everything as a walker lately. He pushes chairs, baskets, and cups across the floor. Yesterday, he moved his high chair across the kitchen floor. (And it has rubber pads on it's legs!) He's a tough cookie. And a sweet kid.
The Best Day of His Life

When the PA walked in our room, Isaac said, "Doctor, what are you going to do to me?" I had been coaching him. "The doctor needs to listen to you breathe. It will not hurt." He said, "and the doctor will not stick me," presumably referring to shots. No shots today. Just a pretty PA.
"I'm so glad I might have asthma."
Graduation
Monday, May 26, 2014
Andre and I swooped in for a quick, two-day trip to Wisconsin to celebrate my sister Monica's graduation on Friday. She's worked super-hard in school and scored both "valedictorian" and a presidential scholarship to her school of choice. Here she is getting ready for her speech. No pressure.
She delivered a nice address and even made everyone laugh.
Maria worked hard to earn her presidential physical fitness award. [I never made it myself because one could not substitute push ups for pull ups back in the old days. (Pull ups are impossible for pear-shaped people.)] Maria's coach was in the military. He has a great attitude and is encourages the kids.
