“I’ll get that. It’s just $8, right? Not $15? Actually, is anything $8 anymore?”
“Gas.”
Another time when I was feeling useless, he listened and then offered, “but you’re the only one who can change the Fifth’s diaper.” The Fifth literally yells at anyone trying to change him, “No! Mommy will do it!” Humor is 90% timing. 🤣
We are clogging along here. Prayers for job discernment are much appreciated.

Child's head is above the 98th percentile, which = "macrocephaly"; Mother's head is in the 98th percentile. It's likely genetic and not the result of brain stem fluid leaking, which can cause brain damage. He has no symptoms of that but needs to be seen in 4 months so that he can demonstrate his consistent position on the growth curve and the doctor can make money.

She was very upset about a bee sting she got in the pool yesterday. “I was trying to help him get out of the pool, Mom.” She stopped screaming and sat in sadness and finally asked, “Mom, has a bee ever stung you?” I love this girl so much!

DH suggested surf lessons, which I’ve wanted to take since we moved here. We had a very choppy day; but I was able to get up! It’s thrilling and relaxing. Something about the saltwater and vastness of the ocean and channeling some part of it for your own enjoyment…
We had a sitter during the day. So, we went to Sugar Shack where we have so many memories.
And Simmzy's.
His phlegmatic side is balm to my soul.
This song represents my thoughts to date, specifically the line, "have ten kids and give them everything." Though four are with Jesus, we did make ten people together.
