Conversation with the Teenager

"This guy has a really high-pitched voice. Why do guys sing stuff like this? It's not manly." -Firstborn

"If you had to choose between the two, would you rather be really tall with a high-pitched voice or really short with a deep, manly voice?"

"Short with a deep, manly voice," he responded without hesitation. "At least if you're short with a deep voice, you still get respect. You can at least workout and still be really strong like those short, bald guys with a mustache, who lift weights."

This kid is constantly saying things that actually make me laugh. I'm glad we've reached this stage. The kid can be pretty fun. :)

We had to ground an anonymous child from his/her favorite social event of the year due to his/her egregious disrespect of a sibling. There were a lot of tears, including some contrived ones; and this appeared on our bed.

DH donned them with this title. These two have spent their entire postpartum lives in California. I don’t know how they would handle living anywhere else. When we take them to the beach they run around with their big, bleached blond heads looking like they were made for here.
