Meet Sweet Pea + Prayer Request!

Monday, January 19, 2015

Check out what we've been working on lately. Our 20 week sonogram was normal except for a small cyst found in one hemisphere of the baby's brain. The doctor said that we didn't need to worry about it because there were no other indicators of the Trisomies. So our chances are 99% that the baby is just fine. However, any prayers you want to offer for a healthy baby (and a VBAC!) are greatly appreciated.

Sweet Pea has been such a sweet baby so far. This has been my easiest pregnancy. She was so relaxed during the sonogram that we had a good look at her face. The Hubs thinks she has the Firstborn's nose. We are really looking forward to meeting her and adding some much needed estrogen to our family!

Snow, the Engineer's 18 Month Checkup & Name Day!

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

You know it's going to be a good day when you wake up to this beautiful whiteness covering all of the grey!

The Engineer had his 18 month checkup (yes, he's almost 19 months!) today. The doctor tells me his measurements are still accurate: between 25 & 50th% for weight and 95th% for height! I love how our first two boys are their own people. I would have never guessed that we'd have two boys first, much less two tall, thin ones!
The Engineer is meeting all of his milestones and is so interactive now. This is what he does when I tell him to smile:
Staying true to DC snow expectations, by 7:09am there were accidents and delays on "most major roads." DH left way before HOV opened and still ran into brutal traffic on his way to work.
At 10:13am, there was a jack-knifed trailer, which caused westbound 66 to be shut down entirely for about a half hour:

And, finally, we were asked to stay off of the roads in Alexandria entirely, unless we had an emergency:
I'm so glad we live close to our doctors, school, and church. After the Engineer's appointment, we shoveled our driveway and sidewalks.
This is my favorite thing that happened today:
My second-favorite thing that happened was this conversation:
Mom- St. Andre Bessette, pray for us!
Firtborn- St. ISAAC Bessette, pray for us!
