There was a new family social for our high school family.
We had a couple of moments of panic on the way (Were kids actually invited? Are there really 100 people coming?!); but it worked out!
I love boys! (Sweet Pea, if you’re reading this, I love you too—not more, not less—so much!!) They are so simple, active, and low-drama. Yes, this really is my massive freshman. He tells me the Samoan football players are 100 pounds heavier than he!
Working on his tan:
Taught them to make nutella crepes so they stop asking me to make them. This was a sick and twisted exercise in detachment.
Some of us went to this family fest. The kids held chickens and walked around the coup in their bare feet. Don’t think about that too much.
I bought 3 marble-topped, solid wood pieces of furniture for $40 (total!) on Offer Up—two matching night stands and a dresser. We need more storage space in our home. Some kids didn’t want their parents’ quality pieces. So I lugged them home for $13.33/each Used my big kids to load.
There was also a matching table from a completely different person for free. The Lord answers every little prayer, I tell you! These retail for thousands!
I can’t believe we have kids big enough to do all these things now! The two eldest served Saturday night Mass. They are both noticeably taller than I now!
